Background:
in Leeza's words...
"From
a very young age, I recall my Doukhobor ancestors prayers,
songs and beliefs in healing. As a child, I experienced
first-hand the healing methods of my mother and other elders
in my community. Traditions and methods were passed on from
one generation to another by the elder healers.
"Singing,
prayer and healing work has always been very important
to me. My awareness of its immense power led me to explore
and develop my own healing abilities and prompted me to
acquire skills in a variety of healing traditions. I had
the pleasure to travel to Russia and the Republic of Georgia
in search of my roots. My healing work keeps evolving as
time goes on.
"Over
the course of many years of study and practice I have been
blessed to learn from many great teachers that have come
into my life. I continue to study and practice and I know
that this is my path. Because of my passion and training
in the healing arts, I'm able to draw on a variety of traditions
and lineages such as Reiki - the Usui System
of Healing, CranioSacral Balancing, Colour
Therapy, Shamanism, Indigenous Wisdom,
Tibetan Healing Paths, and Prayer.

"I
understand and incorporate these approaches with my cultural
heritage and connection to the earth. This work demands
the highest level of integrity, discipline, openness, and
emotional stability. I experience many helpers along the
way. The teachers on my life path are not always in the
physical form and at times, guides emerge to help me with
the healing process with my clients. My other wonderful
teachers are my students and my clients.

"I
believe the divine source of energy is available to everyone;
but in this hurried world we live in, for the most part we
have either forgotten how to tap into it, or have simply fallen
asleep along the way. Our Spirit radiates this energy through
the physical body and it emanates as divine love.
This divine love affects many aspects of our own lives as
well as the lives of others." |

As
Elizaveta was growing up in her Doukhobor community, she
often observed and had direct experience with some of her elders
who were healers. Some of the healing methods and prayers were passed
on to her by those elders. The roots of these healing methods go
back to her Russian ancestry. It was common to have a healer
or "Sheptukha" (Whisperer) in almost every village.
Later in life, she augmented her healing knowledge through study
and has achieved competence and certification in the following areas:
